Norrbotten in Sweden

Norrbotten is one of nine historic provinces in the Swedish region Norrland. Today it belongs together with parts of Lapland to the province of Norrbotten County.

Despite its location by the sea, the province of Norrbotten has a continental climate with large temperature differences between the seasons (average temperature in July is 15˚ to 16˚C and in January -10 bei to -14˚C) and low rainfall (400 to 600 mm / year).[1]
