It is a municipality in the province of Matera located on the Ionian coast. It borders with the municipalities of: Rotondella (7 km), Imperial Fortress (CS) (11 km), No dear (CS) e Cane (CS) (13 km) e Valsinni (15 km). It is 75 km from Matera and 139 km from the regional capital Power.

By plane
Basilicata does not have airports and that is why the closest references are Brindisi and Bari airports. Nova Siri is 150 km from Bari / Villaggio airport and 160 km from Brindisi / Villaggio.
By car
- Autostrada del Sole A1 Rome-Naples-Salerno. Sicignano exit with Basentana entrance to Potenza-Metaponto-Nova Siri; or Salerno-Lauria, exit for Scanzano Jonico along the Sinnica - Nova Siri state road.
- Adriatic motorway, with Taranto exit and continuation on the Ionic state road 106 towards Nova Siri.
On the train
The Nova Siri station is served by various railway lines, although the following are to be verified:
- From the north: Bologna - Ancona - Bari - Taranto - Metaponto - Policoro - Nova Siri; from Rome, Rome - Bari - Taranto - Metaponto - Policoro - Nova Siri;
- From the south: Reggio Calabria, Crotone, Sibari, Nova Siri.
By bus
There is an alternative service to the state railways, arriving by bus is one of the best options especially if you are coming from far away. Nova Siri is located in a very strategic position, which is why it is possible to take many day and night buses of the group Simet is Intersaj and reach the main cities of Italy heading north (including Puglia).

What see
- Promenade of Nova Siri marina. The promenade, flanked by the cycle path that continues along the seafront, divides into two parallel arteries along the pedestrian area. In addition to the coolness of the surrounding pine forest, you can see the work of the artist Gaetano Di Matteo, "La Barca Capovolta", which pays homage to the town. And art is the common denominator of the Nova Siri seafront: all the streets bear the name of a film by Federico Fellini and recently the benches that alternate along the pedestrian section are decorated with real works of street art, produced by the students of the Liceo Artistico.

Being located in the heart of ancient Magna Graecia, between Taranto is Crotone, in an area unique from a historical point of view and easy to access (via the SS 106), makes it easy to visit the nearby archaeological sites of Policoro, with the ancient site of Heraclea, Metaponto of Bernalda ancient cultural center of Magna Graecia.
