The village Obereggen belongs to the community Deutschnofen, is located at Eggental (Val d'Ega) in South-Tirol and is an important winter sports destination. The area is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The name of the village is derived from harrow, Water, off.

The main source of income is winter tourism. In addition to the 93 inhabitants, there are around 900 people, mainly German-speaking, who are employed in tourism.

By plane
