The town Oschersleben lies north of the Harz in the Magdeburg Börde, about 50 km southwest of Magdeburg.

The place was first mentioned in 994. Oschersleben must have had town charter by 1235 at the latest. In 1648 the city came to Brandenburg, and from 1816 to 2007 it was a district town.

In 1843 Oschersleben was connected to the railway network, more precisely the main line Magdeburg – Halberstadt, which is still in operation today. At the 1 Oschersleben station A train runs at least every hour, operated by abellio.

You drive from Magdeburg out of town on the B 81, bypass Langenweddingen (the infamous level crossing no longer needs to be used) and turn after Langenweddingen to Wanzleben (B 246a); from Braunschweig via the A 2 to the exit Marienborn / Helmstedt, via the B 245 to Neuwegersleben and then via the B 246; of Halberstadt Via the B 81 to Gröningen and then the country road via Großalsleben.

Tourist Attractions
The Renaissance residential buildings of a former one are worth seeing 1 Lock (1545), the baroque one 2 town hall from 1691 and the neo-Gothic 3 Nikolaikirche from 1881, whose late Gothic west building with two towers was built around 1400. The 4 Marienkirche (1867/68) is the city's Catholic Church.
