Other goals

The Herberstein Castle Nature Park is particularly recommended for families (http://www.herberstein.co.at) as well as the nearby Stubenbergsee.

A special point in Eastern Styria is the Riegersburg Castle, which can be seen from afar, with a new type of lift.

background

For decades, the region was rather neglected by international tourism as there were no attractions (such as high peaks). In the meantime, with "wellness tourism", the thermal region of the area in particular has developed into a tourist magnet.
