Pétange (lux .: Péiteng; Eng .: Petingen) is the capital of the municipality of the same name, one of 116 municipalities in the Grand Duchy Luxembourg and belongs to the canton Esch-sur-Alzette, in the region Southwest Luxembourg.

By train

The community Pétange has the train stations in Pétange, in Lamadelaine in Rodange.

On the Title mountain, between Fond-de-Gras and Lamadelaine, excavations have been carried out on a Celtic-Roman settlement for decades.

The Giele botter, a former open-cast mining area, is ideal for long and interesting walks. The starting point for this is the parking lot at the cemetery, opposite the train station. You can go to the nature reserve Fond-de-Gras wander through. About 5 - 6 km.
