The Canadian National Parks System is operated by Parks Canada, which also maintains the country's National Historic Sites.
This list includes the two Canadian National Marine Conservation Areas (or National Marine Conservation Areas).

National parks and future reserves
Lands in four areas have been reserved for future national parks:
- Tutuk-Nogait in Northwest Territories (to expand the Tuktut Nogait National Park)
- The east arm of the Great Slave Lake in Northwest Territories
- Torngat Mountains (included in Torngat Mountains National Park Reserve)
- North of Bathurst Island
Parks Canada is considering four other areas for additional national parks:
- Wolf Lake in Yukon
- Okanagan South - Low Similkameen in British Columbia
- Lowlands of the Manitoba a (northwest of Lake Winnipeg)
- Mealey Mountains in Labrador
