Pembroke is a city of Canada, the county seat of Renfrew County.

Located at the confluence of the Muskrat and Ottawa rivers on the border with the Quebec , 40 km from the Algonquin Provincial Park, Pembroke was founded in 1858 and became an important center for the wood industry during the 20th century; today it is a lively town surrounded by beautiful nature, famous for its artistic murals and for the local hockey team.

Pembroke is small enough to be explored comfortably on foot or by bicycle. There are however some taxis (much cheaper than elsewhere in Canada)

- Thom Transit bus. 07:30-17:30. The public bus service consists of two lines that intersect the city in an east-west direction. They are active during the day and unfortunately they do not operate at night or on holidays.
