Moschetti's sculptural group included a considerable amount of figures besides Hades and Proserpina, daughter of Zeus and Demeter; these were represented in the dramatic moment of the kidnapping (here some believe a stylistic reference to the work of Gianlorenzo Bernini probable) on top of a rocky rise at whose feet sea horses and sirens stand out, in different and lively positions, attitudes and facial expressions. The secondary statues were also modeled in smooth concrete. In the last decade of the twentieth century the Proserpina fountain underwent restoration.

The Chimneys
- 18 Le Ciminiere exhibition center, Piazzale Asia, ☎ 39 095 401111. It is a multifunctional complex obtained from the recovery of some parts of the buildings now abandoned after the war that made up the large industrial complex for the refining of sulfur. It is used for concerts, theatrical and cinematographic performances. There were also international congress and exhibition events (SMAU, Expobit) and it hosted local television sets for a long time. Inside there are several museums.

Promenade of Catania
- 1 Bicycle lane, seafront. This cycle path runs along the entire Catania seafront up to the Ognina area. It is perfectly spaced from traffic and great for running or cycling.
