Pian Camuno is a city of Lombardy.

Pian Camuno is located in the lower part of the Camonica Valley, close to Lake Iseo and of Darfo Boario Terme. The Pian Camuno area is mainly mountainous. The local river Oglio separates the Brescia side from the Bergamo side. It is surrounded by vegetation, woods and fields.

On the train

You can reach Pian Camuno by train from the railway station of Brescia. There is a train that leaves from Brescia and arrives at Edolo and stops in many villages of the Camonica Valley (also called "Trenino della Valle Camonica") and also stops at the Pian Camuno railway station. It is very cheap and fast (costs € 5.50 and takes 1 hour more or less).

By bus

Pian Camuno can also be reached by bus. You can leave from the Brescia bus station and get off directly at Pian Camuno. It is more expensive (costs € 7.90) and slower (takes 1 hour and a half) than the train.

What to do

Pian Camuno is close to Lake Iseo and can be reached in 10 minutes. Go for a swim or sunbathe by visiting one of the many beaches along the lake. In winter you can easily reach Montecampione, one of the most famous ski areas in the Camonica Valley, and have a ski week or a day on the snow. Alternatively, if you don't like snow and cold very much, choose a relaxing day at the Terme di Boario, very close to Pian Camuno (10 minutes by car).

In Pian Camuno there are some restaurants where you can taste the typical and local cuisine, such as the "Casoncelli", homemade tortellini with beef served with melted butter, or the famous "polenta", a side dish made with corn and its delicious variant "Polenta Taragna" mixed with different types of cheese and butter. You can also find restaurants where you can eat typical Italian dishes such as pizza or pasta.
