Geographical notes

Pisano is surrounded by a hilly landscape. The municipality of Pisano is part of the province of Novara and Alto Vergante. It is characterized by a vigorous horticultural industry, therefore there are numerous crops dedicated to this activity that distinguish this area.

Background

There is no certain date of birth for this village. In Roman times it seems that a residential nucleus already existed. In 1986 a bronze coin from the imperial age was found. The village shows evident signs of a medieval past, in particular in the small alleys that are articulated from the central square. Pisano in 1557 was under the dominion of the Visconti and Borromean lords. In 1928 Corciago, Tapigliano and Colazza were aggregated to Pisano as hamlets. In 1950 the first two passed to the municipality of Nebbiuno and in 1955 Colazza became autonomous.
