Geography
The poviat is situated in the south-eastern part of the voivodship, in the area of Beskid Mały, Beskid Śląski and Podgórze Cieszyński. The area of the poviat is 458.64 km² and is inhabited by 162,495 inhabitants. The population density is 354 inhabitants per 1 km² (2016).

Five railway lines run through the poviat: 93, 117, 139, 150 and 190. There are five active railway stations in the poviat (Czechowice-Dziedzice, Czechowice-Dziedzice Południowy, Dankowice, Kozy, Wilkowice Bystra) and five railway stops (Czechowice-Dziedzice Przystanek , Kaniów, Kozy Zagroda, Zabrzeg, Zabrzeg Czarnolesie). Transport
The Bielsko poviat is well-connected, and transport through its territory does not cause many difficulties for drivers. Land communication routes (roads and railways) are the best developed, although there are also other means of communication in the poviat.
National roads
Two national roads run through the poviat. One (DK1) runs from the north of Poland, through Łódź, Częstochowa and Tychy down Zwardoniaand the second (DK 52) starts nearby Myśleniceand ends in Bielsko-Biała.
The construction of a new national road is planned, which is to start in Hałcnów (district Bielsko-B.) and ending in Mysłowice.
Express roads
