Myślenice is a mountain town in the polish Voivodeship Lesser Poland in the Makov Beskids, in the Middle Ages about a day's ride south of Krakow laid out on the trade route to Hungary. Its location makes it an important center of tourism in the Beskydy Mountains. The city offers opportunities for winter sports and is the starting point for hikes. The place is on Small Beskydy hiking trail.
