Rerik is a seaside resort in Salzhaff and at the entrance to the Wustrow peninsula in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

Administratively, the community belongs to the office of Neubukow-Salzhaff. Rerik was originally called Alt Gaarz and was named after the presumed Viking port in 1938 Reric renamed, but it is now considered to be further to the west (near Groß Strömkendorf) is proven.
