Korzeń nature reserve - floristic and peat bog nature reserve located in Poland, in voivodeship of Lodz, in Zduńska Wola district, near the village Root in Widawa communein the area Miedzyrzecz Warta and Widawka Landscape Park, in the Szczercowska Basin mesoregion.

Created on December 23, 1998, it has an area of ​​34.93 ha.

1 km to the west, a river flows along the border of the reserve Guard.

The reserve is established to protect the transitional bog and the well-preserved phytocoenoses of the sphagnum alder and currant alder.

The dominant community is the most valuable the white ground and small areas of high-moorland z Sheath woolen and sphagnum. There are also areas of communities with white water lilies, common reed, broadleaf club.

There are numerous interesting protected and rare plant species, e.g. round-leaved sundew and long-leaved, buckthorn. Common cashews, common marsh, club moss, juniper and carnation, peat moss, common larch and white groundwort. There are also breeding sites here crane and lonely paddock. The occurrence of other interesting representatives of the fauna was found: lake frog, black woodpecker and big, Raven and Beaver.

In addition to the scientific and didactic values, the reserve is an excellent storehouse of the gene pool, regional forms and ecotypes, which, with the planned restoration of the habitats of the landscape park damaged by melioration, also has a practical aspect.
