Blueberry Springs nature reserve - Rezerwat przyrody Źródła Borówki

Created on March 3, 1989 floristic, landscape and forest nature reserve "Sources of Borówki", has an area of ​​21.99 ha and is located in the commune Maków in Skierniewice County, voivodeship of Lodz, in Poland. Mesoregion Wzniesienia Łódzkie.

The purpose of protection is to preserve the forest communities of oak-hornbeam forest, mixed and pine coniferous forest and specific landscape features. The source section of the Borówka river, the right-bank tributary of the Uchanka, and the surrounding picturesque part of the old forest are protected in the reserve. The topography is varied. In the highest, southern part, well-preserved spring niches have been preserved.

The vegetation of the reserve is made of fresh forest with over 100-year-old pine stands.
The higher parts of the ravine slopes are overgrown with pine and oak mixed forest with the dominance of ancient pines and an admixture of slightly younger oaks and beeches.
In the northern part there is a lime-hornbeam-oak forest (subcontinental oak-hornbeam forest).
In the reserve's flora, the following deserve special attention: bearberry, juniper and carnation club moss.

Right next to it, west, Bukowiec nature reserveand on Kwaśna Buczyna nature reserve (ravine and source niche) and Uroczysko PheasantIn the nearby Bobrowa there is a cluster of erratic boulders. In the reserve, there is partial protection.
