hot river is the municipality that houses the famous resort of the same name, 31 km from Caldas Novas, in the south of the state of Goiás.
Understand
The municipality, which was previously a district of Caldas Novas, is in a privileged geographic position, close to Goiania, Brasilia, Uberlandia, Uberaba, São Paulo and the interior of São Paulo, where the largest percentage of tourist demand originates. Its source of funds is in the tourist complex of Rio Quente Resorts (formerly Pousada Rio Quente Resorts), in the nationally renowned Esplanada district, often elected by Exame magazine as the best resort in Brazil; it employs the majority of the population of the municipality of Rio Quente, and people from surrounding towns such as Caldas Novas and Morrinhos.
One of the attractions of the resort is the constant renewal of all the water in the pools, due to the large volume that flows from its main hot springs. This volume results in a constant flow of 6 million liters/hour, thus completing more than 149 million liters every 24 hours.
