The Rożnów foothills is a foothills in the West Beskids promontory in the voivodeship Lesser Polandthat are located north to the Lower Beskids adjoins and in the north to Sandomir Basin enough. The Dąbrowska Góra is the highest mountain at 583 m. The mountains are from Dunajec broken through, where an important trade route led from the Roman Empire to the Baltic Sea since ancient times. In the Middle Ages, the trade route was protected by numerous castles.
