Zakliczyn is a Begort in Poland in the southern voivodeship Lesser Poland southeast of Krakow on the northern edge of the Rożnów Mountains, a promontory of Beskydy Mountains, at the Dunajec, northeast of the Rożnów Reservoir.

The place dates back to the 11th century and was officially founded in 1215. In 1558 the place received city rights. They worked here during the Reformation Polish brothers. With the First Partition of Poland in 1772 he came to the Habsburg kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria, which remained until the First World War. After the First World War, the place became Polish again. After the German invasion of Poland, the place was occupied by German. In 1945 he came back to Poland.
