Roth is a city in the metropolitan area Nuremberg, but also in Franconian Lake District.

Line 2 of the Nuremberg S-Bahn ends at Roth station. The journey time to Nuremberg Central Station is around 30 minutes with the S-Bahn and around 20 minutes with the Regional Express trains.

A regional express runs to Munich every hour, alternately via Augsburg or Ingolstadt.

The Roth railway line also begins in Roth - Hilpoltstein, from the locals Gredl called because it used to lead to Greding. The 11 km long stretch is still in use today.

In the street

The four-lane federal highway B2 leads from the highway A6, Exit Symbol: AS 57, to Roth-Hilpoltstein.
