- 1 Runkel Castle, Castle Square. One of the most famous sights in Runkel is Runkel Castle. It was first mentioned in a document in 1159 and is the landmark of Runkel. With its location on the Lahn, it is a real gem. The castle can also be visited, either with a guide, for which you have to register in advance, or on your own. There is, among other things, an ancestral hall, lots of old weapons and furniture, a vault with a press and a torture chamber.
- 2 Schadeck Castle. Opposite the Runkel Castle on the other slope, only separated by the Lahn, is the Schadeck Castle. It was first mentioned in 1288.
- 3 Dehrn Castle. In the Dehrn district, Dehrn Castle shines above the community.
- Old town. which invites you to linger with its many half-timbered houses.
- 4 Lahn Bridge. It is from 1448 and is one of the oldest bridges on the Lahn in its original condition.
- At the Protestant church, which stands on Runkel's city wall, is the bell tower, which previously served as a watchtower. The bells have been hanging there since 1725.
