Rurrenabaque is a center in the department Bolivian of Assets whose territory occupies part of the Amazonian lowland.
To know
Bathed by the river Beni, Rurrenabaque, or more simply "Rurre", owes its tourist importance to its neighbor Madidi National Park, established in 1995 to protect a still virgin area that extends from the Amazonian lowlands to the snow-capped peaks of the Andes that mark the border with the West Peru. The surroundings of "Rurre" "are already enchanting and can be visited by canoeing up the river Beni and its numerous tributaries. The surrounding forest welcomes a very varied fauna, from tapirs to jaguars while the waters are populated by crocodiles and alligators. .

By plane
Rurrenabaque has its own runway, which is impractical during the humid season due to the thick clouds.
- TAM with flights from La Paz is Santa Cruz.
- Amaszonas, with more frequent flights from La Paz and with the added advantage of accepting Visa and Mastercard cards.
After the opening of asphalted roads in the Amazon basin, the passenger boats have almost disappeared from the waters of the Rio Beni. River routes are almost exclusively covered by cargo ships bound for Brazil
By bus
During the dry season the buses travel 413 km of the "Ruta 3" up to La Paz passing through Choroico and Los Yungas, where the most dangerous stretch known as the "road of death" runs. The journey takes 20 hours and the buses are always packed.
Easier and more frequent connections with Trinidad, capital of Beni. A ride lasts an average of 8 hours. Buses pass by San Borja is San Ignacio de Moxos.
Less frequent connections with Riberalta is Guayaramerín, the latter on the Rio Mamoré which marks the border with the state Brazilian of Rondônia.
