Saas-Grund is centrally located in the valley floor of the Saas Valley in the Valais / Switzerland. In summer, Saas-Grund is the starting point for tours in the surrounding Valais mountains, in winter there is guaranteed snow Hohsaas ski area.

There is no railway line into the Saas Valley. From Visp and Brig-Glis (Train stations) run every half hour postbus lines (sometimes express buses) into the Saas Valley and to Saas-Grund.

In the street
The Saas Valley is one of the two Visper side valleys of the Rhone Valley:
Arrival in the Rhone Valley from the east via the Furka Pass, from the south via the Simplon Pass, from the west directly over the Rhone Valley to Visp. Here turn off and continue on the access road via Stalden into the Saas Valley.
