Saguenay is a city of Quebec to Canada.

Located in a valley on the shores of the Saguenay River, it is upstream from the Saguenay Fjord and downstream from the Kénogami horst. From north to south, it stretches from the north shore of the Saguenay to the Laurentian Mountains. With its 146,000 inhabitants, it is the seventh largest city in Quebec.

Story

Saguenay was created on February 18, 2002 by the merger of the cities of Chicoutimi, Jonquière, La Baie and Laterrière, as well as the municipalities of Lac-Kénogami and Shipshaw and part of the township of Tremblay.
