Saint Pierre is one of the two municipalities of the overseas collectivity of Saint Pierre and Miquelon.

The town is made up of Île Saint-Pierre and a few nearby islets and rocks: Île aux Marins, Île aux Vainqueurs, Île aux Pigeons, Grand Colombier, Pointe Blanche, Îlot Noir, l 'Île au Massacre et les Canailles.

To go

There are two ways to get to Saint-Pierre: the ferry or the plane. Anyone arriving in Saint-Pierre must go through border controls except when coming from Miquelon.

  • 1 St. Peter's Cathedral Logo indicating tariffs free. – Saint-Pierre Cathedral is a church from the beginning of the XXe century which served as a cathedral for the “Roman Catholic Apostolic Vicariate” of the islands. It is now part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of La Rochelle et Saintes. The church has a beautiful view of the harbor. The construction was built at the end of the XVIIe century and inaugurated in 1690. However, due to renovations and reconstruction, the current structure now dates from 1907. The church houses magnificent stained glass windows which are said to have been donated by Charles de Gaulle and which are also known for the mixture of design European and local Saint-Pierre.
