South-east of the Allier department, in the agglomeration of Vichy, Saint-Yorre is bordered by the river of the same name. It is best known for mineral water, rich in bicarbonates.

By car
From Paris, take the A10, A71 and A719 motorways. Since the commissioning of the southwest bypass, Saint-Yorre is signposted by following the direction of Thiers after the Bellerive bridge. It is still possible to follow the said town through Hauterive and the departmental 131, 434A and 434.
From Lyon, take the A89 motorway and exit at the Thiers-Ouest interchange (number 29), then follow the direction of Vichy. The town is signposted from Puy-Guillaume.
From Clermont-Ferrand, take the A71 and A719 motorways then direction Vichy; at the end of the motorway, follow Thiers to the end, then join the D 906E.
By train
Despite the existence of a railway line, no passenger train serves Saint-Yorre. Bus connections are required from or to Vichy.
By coach
Coaches connecting Vichy to Thiers serve Saint-Yorre (stop: Nouvel Hôtel).

The town is crossed by the departmental road 906E (connection of the Puy-en-Velay and Thiers in Vichy). The D 906, taking the route of the southwest bypass open since February 2, 2016, leaves its historic route at 2,5 km south of the town center.
Public transport
The urban transport network of the agglomeration, MobiVie, does not serve Saint-Yorre.

The cycling network is sufficient. The municipality does not authorize two-way cycling on one-way streets, including in the city center. There are plenty of parking spaces for bicycles.

- Via Allier and loops – In 2020, the Vichy Communauté agglomeration community built the greenway Via Allier, long 27 km connecting Saint-Yorre to Billy via Hauterive, Bellerive-sur-Allier and Saint-Germain-des-Fossés, along the river Allier as closely as possible. The Saint-Yorre bridge (at the departmental limit) is the starting point of the loop. The route is signposted from start to finish. In addition to this greenway, three loops have been created, including one passing through Saint-Yorre.
