San Agustin is a district of the municipality San Bartholomé de Tirajana and is located on the south coast of Gran Canaria

The resort of San Agustín was founded after 1962, when the south coast of Gran Canaria was opened up for tourism. In contrast to its neighbor to the west Playa del Inglés Everything stayed a bit smaller, a bit quieter and more dignified, there are only a few larger hotels, the facilities largely adapt to the landscape. From about 30 km away Gran Canaria Airport coming you leave the autobahn GC-1 at exit 38 Tarajaillo and drives on the GC-500 further on, it crosses San Augustin. There are bus connections to Las Palmas and Maspalomas (Lines 1, 4 and 5) and to the holiday park Sioux City (Line 29)
