Holy Cross is a department of Bolivia, which borders the Brazilian states of Mato Grosso do Sul, Mato Grosso and Rondônia.

  • samaipath[1], close to the capital of the department, is carved rock of pre-Inca origin, with more than 200m long and 60m wide, still undeciphered. In the region there are also several painted caves and a depression known as El Hueco, whose function has not yet been understood by archaeologists. The site is listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
  • La Chiquitanía, lands where Jesuit missions took place, with emphasis on the church in the village of San José, made of stone.
  • Yapacani River, 120 km from Santa Cruz, is ideal for sailing and enjoying the beaches.
