Very well connected to the road network: Coming from the south, the city can be reached from Goettingen from in 55 km, from the north on the A7 from direction Hanover coming in about 80 km.
From the Upper Harz coming you drive about 50 km on the B 242 from Braunlage above Clausthal-Zellerfeld to Seesen, coming from the west of the Weser it is about 65 km via the B 64.
