Sighted is a city in the Hanover region.

Sehnde was probably founded around 800 AD. The place was first mentioned in writing in 1147. After the territorial reform of 1977, Sehnde was added to the district of Hanover. After the re-establishment of the Hanover region, it belongs to this. The area around the city is used intensively for agriculture. The fertile loess soil allows a lot of grain and vegetables to flourish. In the past, the region was very much characterized by potash mining. Except for one plant, all shafts are closed today. The white spoil heaps are visible from afar. The municipalities of Bilm, Bolzum, Evern, Gretenberg, Heimar, Höver, belong to the town of Sehnde, Ilten, Klein Lobke, Müllingen, Wassel, Wehmingen and Wirringen.

By plane
The nearest airport is that Hanover Airport. From here you can reach Sehnde by S-Bahn or by car via the airport motorway, A2, A7 and the B 65.
By train
Sehnde has a barrier-free train stop where the S-Bahn trains from Hildesheim to Hannover Hbf stop.
In the street
Sehnde can be easily reached by car. The B65 (Hanover - Peine) and the B443 (Pattensen - Taught). The city is not far from the A2 and A7 motorways.

The Motorboat Club Sehnde e.V. maintains a marina on the Mittelland Canal. It offers berths for boats up to 8.50 m in length. The city center can be reached in around 15 minutes on foot. In addition, the association offers free rental bicycles.
