The Sołokija, also Solokija, is a 70 km long tributary of the Bugwho is in the Narew flows into the eastern Poland in the voivodeship Lublin as well as the Ukraine. It is very popular with canoeists and anglers. Since the river passes the Polish-Ukrainian Genze, and thus the external border of the EU and the Schengen area, it is not possible to continue crossing the Genze without further ado. Basically an official border crossing is to be chosen.

Run

The Sołokija rises on the ridge of the Roztocze at Tomaszów Lubelski and flows eastward to the bow, where it is near Chervonohrad flows out. Not far south of the river is in Bełżec the memorial of the Belzec Nazi extermination camp. After the Second World War, the lower course of the river represented the Polish-Soviet border. After coal deposits were found on the Polish side, the border was corrected in 1951 in favor of the Soviet Union and the People's Republic of Poland received forests in the area Bieszczady on the upper reaches of the San from the Soviet Union.
