Background
The first settlements in the Soriano area of which there are traces date back to the late Bronze Age, while the first written evidence can be found in the ab Urbe Condita by Tito Livio. The current village, however, has been forming since the Middle Ages, thanks to the papal interventions and the various families who controlled it over the centuries.
