Spreetal is a municipality in the north of Saxony. It consists of some idyllic villages on the eastern edge of the Lusatian Lakeland.

Spreetal consists of a few small villages scattered between lakes and forests:
- Castle (Bórk) is located in the southwest on the small Spree between the Bernsteinsee and the Scheibesee.
- Burghammer (Bórkhamor) with its view of the Amber Lake.
- Burgneudorf (Nowa Wjes) is in the center of the municipality.
- Neustadt (Nowe Město) is an idyllic village in the west of the region with a popular excursion restaurant and the Ruhlmühle south of Döschko.
- Spreetal (Sprjewiny Doł) is located in the northwest with a view of the lake of the same name.
- Spreewitz (Šprjejcy) with its half-timbered church is located at the confluence of the Great and Small Spree.
- Tug (Drětwa) is a small town directly on the state border with Brandenburg next to the Schwarze Pump and Trattendorf power plants. The latter has been removed since 1996 and has now completely disappeared.

- Of the Ruhlmühle south of Neustadt you can take boat tours on the Spree. There are rubber dinghies and tours lasting between 1.5 and hours.
- In Spreetal there are three lakes in the Lusatian Lakeland, the Spreetaler See, the Bernsteinsee and the Scheibesee. The first two are still in the flooding phase.
