Stein (Middle Franconia) is a city in Greater Nuremberg in Middle Franconia in the district Fuerth, right on the city limits of Nuremberg.

Stein is known for Pencils. In the Middle Ages there were pencil mills, which gave rise to today's pencil industry. The name of the writing instrument manufacturer Faber-Castell everyone should have heard it before.

By plane
Stone is in close proximity to the international Nuremberg Airport(IATA: NUE). This offers numerous scheduled connections to European destinations and many charter connections.
By train
The 1 Nürnberg-Stein train station is located far outside the city on the edge of the Nuremberg district of Gebersdorf and is on the Nuremberg–Crailsheim.
By bus
Local public transport in the Nuremberg metropolitan region is operated by the Greater Nuremberg Transport Association VGN operated. It is possible to use different means of transport with one ticket, such as bus, train, S-Bahn or U-Bahn. The tickets can be purchased online or via an app.
