Stoos can only be reached by cable car. The steepest funicular in the world can be used for this 1 Schlattli to 2 Stoos or take the cable car 3 Morschach to 4 Stoos .
By plane
By train
The next train stations are in Schwyz and Fountain. Both are from the intercity train station Arth-Goldau at the Gotthard-Line to reach quickly. From Schwyz you can take the bus to Schlattli and from Brunnen to Morschach.
By bus
There is a bus line from the train station in Schwyz to Schlattli and on through the Muotatal and one from Brunnen to the cable car station in Morschach.
In the street
The best place to park your car is in Schlattli. You can get there from the A4 exit Brunnen or from Glarus (Canton) over the Pragelpass.
By boat
Well is from the ships on the Lake Lucerne approached. From there you can take the bus to Morschach.

In the winter
Stoos has a small but quite demanding ski area with 35 kilometers of slopes. There are chairlifts on Fronalpstock and Klingenstock. At the edge of the village there are also some drag lifts that serve as feeder or practice lifts. There are a total of 8 lifts.

- The 1 Fronalpstock (1922 m) is a well-known panoramic mountain and accessed from the village by two chair lifts. On this side it rises flat from the place and is used as pasture area, on the other side it drops steeply to the Lake Lucerne. From above you have a beautiful view of this and the Central Plateau, with good visibility up to Zurich. At the summit there are several viewing platforms, a restaurant, a hotel, a playground and a goat enclosure.
- The other two mountains too, 2 House floor and 3 Blade stick can be climbed and offer beautiful views, but not close to those of the Fronalpstock.
- Fronalpstock, Huser Stock and Klingenstock are connected by the Ridge trail. This offers beautiful views on every side of the ridge. There are chairlifts to Stoos at both ends.
- The short moor path on the outskirts

There is a sports shop in the new mountain station of the funicular. You have to go to for other purchases Morschach, Muotathal, Schwyz or Fountain drive.
