Straupitz (Lower Sorbian: Tšupc) is a municipality in the north of the Oberspreewaldes. The place is known for the church built by Karl Friedrich Schinkel.

The last producing triple windmill in Europe (grinding, oil and sawmill) with a history of over 350 years is a European cultural heritage. Originally a post mill from 1640 stood here. In 1850, today's "Holländermühle" was built. After it was closed in 1964, it fell into disrepair. The first restoration work began in 1994 and was completed in 2002. From a technical point of view, the grain mill's technology is as it was in 1930 and is always in operation in the wind. The oil mill is still producing the Lusatian specialty as it was 100 years ago: linseed oil.
