Strömstad is a city on the Swedish west coast in Bohuslan, near the Norwegian border.

By plane
The airport Gothenburg Landvetter at Gothenburg is 190 km south of Strömstad.
The Oslo Airport Gardermoen is about 180 km north of Strömstad.
That is closer Sandefjord-Torp Airport (also Oslo-Torp) if you take the ferry to go to Sandefjord translated (but that takes 2.5 hours).
By train
Strömstad is on the railway line to Gothenburg, the train station is the terminus.

is right across from the Colorline ferry terminal. If you can't or don't want to buy the ticket via the app (Västtrafik): Tickets are available in Pressbyrån by the harbor, there are no more ticket sales in the train station.

- Lagoon Camping, Skärsbygdsvägen 40, 45297 Strömstad. Tel.: 46526755000. Upscale campsite a few kilometers south of Strömstad directly on the country road. The campsites, cabins, etc. right by the sea are very nice, the transit campsites for tents and mobile homes are on the other side of the road, where you can hear the traffic constantly. Overall, well-kept complex, very good sanitary and kitchen facilities, restaurant, shop.

- The Koster Islands (They are ideal for a one-day or multi-day excursion; in the main season, the ferries run up to 16 times a day from the pier directly in the inner harbor, right next to the tourist information (travel time about 1 hour) while bicycles can be used on Sydkoster, on Nordkoster, which is for the most part a nature reserve (Kosteröarnas nature reserve), only a few of the main routes are open to the use of bicycles. Suitable destinations for a day trip are the reserve on Nordkoster, which can be easily circled once with a walk of about 1.5 to 2 hours pure walking time.

- There are restaurants on both islands, but only on Sydkoster there is a supermarket (closed on Sun), which is located in the middle of the island, this should be taken into account when preparing the trip. Be sure to book accommodation in advance, including the campsite on Nordkoster.
