Tatabánya, (Ger. Totiser Colony) is a big city in Hungary.
background
Tatabánya was first registered as a town in 1902 and was named a town in 1947 through the merging of three districts. The city was significant because of the coal mining industry, since privatization after the fall of the 1990s, new companies and service providers have emerged. The city is conveniently located on the M1 motorway between Budapest and Vienna.

Observation tower
The “Ranzinger Vince” tower is 30 m high and was renovated in 2008. The tower is about a 20-minute walk west of the Turul Bird Memorial. When the weather is nice, you can see the area from afar.

The Turul bird on the Kő mountain, actually very clearly visible from afar, can be reached on foot as well as by car or bus. From the monument you can also see the city and the surrounding area from far away. There are other monuments and many sculptures in Tatabánya.

The Selim Cave is a few minutes' walk from the Turul Memorial. The cave is free and relatively accessible to the public. The entrances and exits are to the north and west. Interestingly, part of the cave is the location of the first part of the Hollywood film Eragon.
