Thessaly - one of the 13 administrative regions Greece located in the central part of the country. It covers the historical region of Thessaly and part of the Sporades archipelago. The region borders on the west with Epirus and on the north with the region Western Macedonia and region Central Macedonia and from the south with the region Central Greece. To the east, the land part of the region is bordered by the Aegean Sea, through which it borders the North Aegean region.
The capital of the region is Larisa.
