The Lake Thun is an alpine lake in Bernese Oberland the Switzerland. The eponymous city is located at the northern outflow of the lake Tuna. The lake is 17.5 km long and up to 3.5 km wide. The surrounding mountains and hills of the foothills of the Alps make the lake particularly attractive. The Sneeze rises like a pyramid over the lake and was repeatedly used as a subject by painters.
With the exception of winter, transport ships operate regularly (Schiffartsgesellschaft), which connect the important places and sights and make them an interesting excursion destination.
