Interlaken is a city in Canton Bern. It lies between that Lake Thun and Lake Brienz.

Due to its location between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz and at the entrance to the Lauterbrunnen Valley, Interlaken is an important traffic junction in the Bernese Oberland. From here you can get to Brienz and over the Brünig to Lucerne or the Jungfraujoch.

In Interlaken you can go hiking, Rafting, Canyoning, Paragliding, Skydiving. You can relax on Lake Thun or go to the swimming pool (Bödelibad).
During the winter, the entire ski areas of the Jungfrau region are relatively close. Among them are well-known places like Wengen, Murren and Grindelwald.
