Tréguier (Breton: Landroger) is a small town in the Brittany.

Tréguier is one of the ancient episcopal cities of Brittany. The old capital of the Trégor on the slope above the bay on English Channelformed by the confluence of the Jaudy and Guindy rivers. De Irish monk Tugdual became bishop in 542, even if the diocese was not established regularly until 842. The writer was born in the town Ernest Renan (1823 to 1892) born. Tréguier is the city of holy ivo (Yves Hélori, 1253 to 1303), who comes from the neighboring Minihy-Tréguier.

  • Saint-Tugdual Cathedral. The Saint-Tugdual cathedral from the 14th and 15th centuries, which is considered to be one of the most beautiful in Brittany, with a 63 m high tower, a remarkable stained glass window, the Renaissance choir stalls and the associated well-preserved cloister in Flamboyant style ( here entry 2018 2 EUR).
