no tourist info on Wikidata: Add tourist information

Uherské Hradiště is the center of the Moravian Slovakia and forms with the two neighboring cities Staré Město u Uherského Hradiště and Kunovice a functionally and structurally coherent small town region with almost 40,000 inhabitants. The two neighboring cities are therefore also covered in this travel guide.

Particularly worth seeing are the completely listed center of Uherské Hradiště, the monument of the Great Moravian Empire by Staré Město and the aircraft museum in Kunovice; also in the immediate vicinity the Buchlov Castle, the baroque castle of Buchlovice and the old pilgrimage cathedral of Velehrad.

background

The "triplet town" arose around an important town and fortress of the Great Moravian Empire (Velehrad or Veligrad = large (good) city) and in particular experienced a boom after industrialization.

There are four aircraft factories in Kunovice, including the factory of Let Kunovice, a very successful manufacturer of small turboprop aircraft (including the L410 Turbolet).
