Geographical notes
The Valle dei Mocheni is delineated by the upper course of the homonymous stream, a tributary of the Adige. The inhabited centers are located on both sides, the right one is bordered by the peaks of Costalta and Rujoch, continuing in the valley are the Sette Sorelle, Sasso Rotto and Sasso Rosso peaks, the left side is closed by the Gronlait peaks (Hoajoch), Fravort and Panarotta.
The valley is crossed by a ring road.
When to go
The best times to visit the valley are the summer and the foliage season in autumn when the colors of the valley are particularly beautiful.
Spoken languages
The valley is known because four of its inhabited centers are inhabited by a population of the Mòchena language, a language of German origin protected by the laws on linguistic minorities.
