history
The Vueling Airlines (often only Vueling called) was launched in 2004 as a low-cost carrier in Barcelona founded. The aim was to serve mainly domestic Spanish routes and the large low-cost carriers EasyJet and Ryanair to oppose a Spanish company. The largest shareholder at that time was the Spanish Iberia. In addition to Barcelona, they were also aiming for a goal Madrid as a turnstile, which quickly succeeded. With the bankruptcy of Click Air In 2008 Vueling was able to win a whole series of internal Spanish routes. A further expansion of the routes was after the bankruptcy of the Spanair announced. With the construction of a hub at Paris airport Orly Vueling Airlines now also flies routes completely outside of Spain. With the merger of British Airways and Iberia, Vueling is now part of its holding IAG.

Vueling mainly relies on aircraft from the Airbus A 320 series, owns 64 Airbus A 320 and 4 A 319. There are also 3 McDonell Douglas MD 83 aircraft, which are likely to be phased out.
service
The planes do not have screens, so there is no entertainment program on the flight. There is also no music program. Meals are not included in the flight price (except in the Excellence tariff). During the flight, however, snacks and drinks can be purchased from the flight attendants. However, they are not very cheap and also not of special quality. It is better if you have something to eat and drink before departure.
Some of the aircraft are not yet equipped with modern seats. The backrests are then quite thick and when you are taller you hardly have any legroom. The armrests are not very comfortable either. If you are a little heavier, then it is difficult to get into your place. The seats are not comfortable.

Vueling offers three classes of transport.
Basic tariff
- Flights with frequent flyer points only. Luggage costs extra (12 euros). XXL seat possible (12 euros at the emergency exit).
Optima tariff
- Flight with frequent flyer points, one piece of baggage free, choice of seat in the front or rear area and aisle or window seat. XXL seats (at the emergency exit) cost 12 euros extra per flight.
Excellence tariff
- Flight and luggage with frequent flyer points, seat in the first row without direct neighbors, snacks inclusive, lounge (if available) in the airport inclusive.
Lounges
Vueling does not operate lounges. In the Excellence Tariff, however, VIP lounges can be used at various airports with the boarding pass.

Check in
Check-in is carried out at all airports by local handling companies, so long queues should be expected.
