Waldkirch is a city in Breisgau, she lies in Elz Valley. The city has received several awards for its project Soft vacation, so it was among others by the BUND in 1999 as Recommended tour operator designated. Waldkirch is the first town in Baden-Württemberg to join the Cittaslow- Movement for a better quality of life.
