Wisła(German: Vistula) is a winter sports resort in the voivodeship Silesia in the Silesian Beskids at the sources of the Vistula. Its location makes it next Ustroń, Szczyrk and Bielsko-Biała to the main center of tourism in the western Beskydy Mountains. The city offers opportunities for winter sports and is the starting point for hikes in the Silesian Beskids.

The place lies in the historical Duchy of Cieszyn-Silesia, which after the collapse Poland emerged in partial principalities in the 12th century. The place was first mentioned in 1615. The inhabitants were shepherds. Tourism began to develop in the early 19th century. After the First World War, Wisła came to the Second Polish Republic.

By plane
The closest Airport is in Katowice. Also the Airport in Krakow it is not far away.
By train
The place has several train stations. It is at the southern end of the route Goleszów – Wisła Głębce.
By bus
Intercity buses run regularly to Cieszyn and long-distance buses to other cities in the region.
In the street
The place is on the route DK 941. In addition, the DK 942 to Żywiec.
mobility
The place is easy to explore on foot. The most demanding hiking trail leads past the reservoir with the presidential path to the Vistula springs and on to the summit of the 1,222 meters above sea level Barania Góra. There is a lookout tower here, from which there is a wide view over the western Beskids.
