The (IATA: VTB) is only used seasonally by charter flights. Vitebsk airfield
By train
1 Central Station (Чыгуначны Вакзал "Віцебск-Пасажырскі"). Trains off Minsk take 4½ hours. The city is on the route to Leningrad /St. Petersburg.
By bus
2 Bus station (Аўтавакзал "Віцебск"), Bahnhofsplatz, left. International buses to Riga (11 hours border clearance), Kiev (9 hours) and Moscow.
In the street
From Minsk directly on the M3, 270 km or via the better developed E30 / M1 first Orsha, turn off there to the north, 290 km.
The next major city in Russia is Smolensk, 135 km on the P-21.
