Å is a village on the island of Moskenesøy on the Lofoten.
background
Å [say: Oh] has the shortest place name in the world. The village has to share this record with 4 other places in Norway with the same name.
There is the fishing museum and the stockfish museum. The whole of Å is actually a museum, as the individual museum buildings are spread across the village. In addition, the symbolism of the color scheme of the individual houses can be recognized: the village owners used to paint their houses in white, the merchants in blue and the fishermen in red. Nowadays, of course, everyone can paint their house as they want, and there are no longer any village owners.
