Reunion Island

Indian Ocean IslandsIt is a diverse gathering place, including many of the smallest territories and one of the largest island countries (Madagascar). Many coastlines surround the continents; others must be seen hundreds of miles away from any other land.

These islands are easily submerged by the waves after the tsunami. They were hit by the Krakatau tsunami in 1880. In addition, there was a tsunami that occurred on Boxing Day in 2004.
